...yep, you guessed it, blastified again.
This time, it lasted longer. The first Level 4 mission I drew (yes, I did go in right after I posted last night) was "Worlds Collide". Figures, right? I'd never gotten this one on Level 3, so I really had no idea what to expect, other than I knew it was a big one.
In the first room I nearly lost it immediately, but got out, with about a third structure left, minus my drones. After repping and replenishing my drones, I went back in, a bit more cautiously. After managing to finish the first room, I had two gates to choose from and went to the Guristas gate. Apparently, that was a major mistake. I was immediately aggroed and in a pod before I even took out a single ship. Oy...
Now, having done a little reading on the topic, I know that the Serpentis route is probably best to take here and that's what I'll do next time, which will hopefully be soon...though I suspect that if I draw this mission again first time out, I'll take the standing hit and get more experience on others first.
Sigh...

Worlds Collide is a fairly difficult level 1 mission which always caught newbies off guard. The level 4 version is even worse! I've tried it three times, to the tune of three lost Battleships. hehe Glad to hear I'm not the only one who had problems with it. :)
Ah this is one i always decline. It can be fun with a group though.
I'm maybe six months behind you in terms of experience. It's good hearing your lessons and making mental notes not to make the mistakes. I'm going to have to find my own mistakes. Fortunately, I'm very good at finding them. :)
i dont know if someone else has mentioned this, but if you are serious about mission running you might want to start training for ravens. The problem with gallente is their reliability on drones. NPCs and drones don't get along. Poppin out drones can cause an entire room to aggro, which really screws you. In ravens you have your full cap dedicated to tank, while your missles do the most effective dmg, and you can control the room aggro by killing npcs at range. just makes more sense to be honest.
Jdok has a point. Missiles are also very good for range and choice of damage type, but as with all things to be effective, Caldari ships will require learning shield tanks and missile skills - Certainly worth it for mission runners, but keep it basic if you don't intend to pvp in caldari ships. ie learn cruises and torps, but ignore heavy missiles etc.
I tend to go with gang mates!
Any lvl4 mission is manageable in a well tanked Gallente BS with a serious cap recharge (rigs) and some decent turret skills. Its important that you can run your tank and turrets 24/7. those missions are really big.
Just be cautious with the drones and the triggers.
hey if you need a tank for lv IVs I can help you out with my Drake. its got a 16000 shields that recharge in 116 seconds. :P
